But, before I explained that I think that the tie rod is bad one of the guys took my car for a drive, well he said it was the tie rod making that noise and it was loose. Okay good I paid $291 for inner tie rod, alignment and wheels rotation. It worked for a week, until today, the noise was even louder than before so I took the Neon back to Leschwab, explained the whole situation. Their "boss" took my car for a drive and when he got back he said :
leschwab:"The tie rod was not your problem, the wheel bearing is what you have to fix".
me:"well, why then I paid $291 for a part that was not causing the problem"
leschwab:"well the guy that you talked to said that you wanted to do an alignment, he said that your inner tie rod is loose that's why he sold it to you, because the alignment cannot be accurate with a loose tie rod"
me:"I told the guy to take a look at my car to see what is causing that tapping noise and give me an estimate for the repairs, I didn't say that I need an alignment"
leschwab:"I will talk to him tomorrow and see what was the conversation about, maybe you misunderstood him. I have your phone and will call you as soon as I get a estimate on your wheel bearing, OKAY?!"
me:"mhmmm"
So I was about the pay $190 for "check-up" on my car's brake system, undercarriage etc. But the cashier guy said "ugh..what the heck you've been here before you bought some nice tires so we are waiving that for you...haha"
