New to 2GN, not new to Neons or Cars. (56K Beware)

Post by raekwon » Thu Apr 09, 2009 12:19 am

Hey everyone just wanted to say hey, my name is Chris. I have been into the car thing since I was in high school, I had a garage and tools, so learned how to work on my car to save money.
I started with a 1989 Chevy Cavalier, it was cheap and I shared it with my mom, I know I am not alone there. Well a few years later, my mom got a better job and bought a new car. So I had this cavalier and a minimum wage salary, so I start working on it to make it a bit nicer.

Well after a few years I turned it into my first show car. I won some awards at J-boy shows and few small shows in the area.

I was also the VP of my area of for the JCO (J-body Club of Ontario).

My next car was a base 4 door 95 Dodge Neon, it had less then 100,000km on it. The plan was to go all power and no show stuff, I was sick of the show car scene. The car made 224.2whp 227.8wtq @ 12psi on 94 octane pump gas and a 100% stock long block. I have also included a list of my setup below.

My setup:
- 1995 SOHC 4 Door Neon
- AC & PS removed
- 250lbs in weight re-ducts
- Canton Oil pan w/ windage tray
- Mattdog SOHC to SRT-4 head Adapter plate
- Stock SRT-4 turbo and mani
- Stock SRT-4 O2 housing
- Stock SRT-4 down pipe
- Dynomax 2.5" Mandrel Bent cat back w/dynomax muffler
- 2.25" IC Pipes
- 2.25" CIA w/ KN&N filter
- Stock SRT-4 intercooler
- 1st gen DSM BOV
- Kinetic Motorsport manual boost controller
- Fast Fabs magnum runner intake manifold
- 57mm TB
- Unorthodox UDP
- Lorenzo Billet Fuel Rail
- Aaron Neon Return line kit (Aeromotive 1:1 FPR)
- Acell #36 injectors
- D-Tech FC
- AEM UEGO
- Auto-Meter Phantom 20 psi Boost Gauge
- NGK Plugs - stock gap
- Swapped from ATX to MTX
- Clutch Masters Stage 4 6 puck non-mod clutch
- Mopar performance plug wires
- RT SDE front and rear struts
- Mopar High Rate springs
- Energy Suspension full bushing kit
- Stock front and rear sway bars
- front strut tower brace
- Small tractor battery
- Deyeme Racing Side, Tranny, Front Motor Mounts,
- Deyeme Racing Front Air Dam and Rad Brackets

Well I moved to a new place with no shop and had no where to put my green car so I parted it out and kept my 2003 SX (winter car).

This car is a base model SOHC 5spd. The car has 50,700KM on it and is in great condition. I have a 1st gen Dynomax muffler, tinted windows, Mopar plug wires, and NGK Plugs as my only mods right now. However I have a closet full of parts to put on this summer. I will post pics as I get some stuff done.

Here are a couple of pics I snapped tonight quickly. It needs a wash, which it is getting this weekend; we had snow here this week. :(

I also used to part out 1st gens and sell the parts on neons.org and neon Canada, I have listed my neons.org feedback and my Neon Canada feedback (+21) can be seen under the same user name. I also have some feedback on the SRT Forums, same user name as well.

Strange, working fine here, and at my work. Maybe my hosting site went down last night when you were on.

I honestly have no idea, as the pics are working here and have had a few friends try and no issues. I even tried to follow a direct link, to recreate the error and the pic worked. :?

Yeah I know I was a little obsessed with the color yellow for a few years LOL

Yeah I do, I like to do everything as clean and tasteful as I can, which takes a lot of time. The green car took the better part of 2 years to build. To bad I didn't have anywhere for it when I moved and had to part it all out and junk the shell.

Nope and most of the 2GN's pics aren't showing up either. Anyway, welcome to 2GN!
