Post by 2gNeon4life » Tue Apr 14, 2009 12:27 pm

Hey
So my air bag light keeps coming on and i cant figure out what and why it is happing. I have replaced fuses and i still cant figure it out. If i take or detach the plug from the cluster will i still hear the beeping sound when it goes off?
Any ideas
Thanks :banghead:

First this isn't the place to ask, it is for showing how to. Second read this:

Hope it helps. :D

Post by 2gNeon4life » Thu Apr 16, 2009 3:19 pm

No i haven't had problems with the horn yet. So i took the light out of the back and now the sounds of the beeps seems to stop. Also i tried out my new cluster two days ago and it is sweet as hell. (SRT-4). I am still waiting to put it in permanately bc my actual mileage is just off by 2000 miles so im going to wait.

do you hear any clicking when you turn your steering wheel from side to side? if so that would be another symptom of clock spring going out.

Well i just changed the battery and the light has not gone off yet. So maybe it was a short or something?

perhaps you caused a glitch when trying your new cluster... which you reset by disconnecting the battery. next time you swap the cluster again, make sure you disconnect the battery

Dammit Man!
Now my clockspring is going!
If I turn hard to the right the airbag light comes on. Key off and key on, it goes off. And stays off.
I have swapped clusters w/out disconnecting the battery, but the ign. was also off when I swapped. Didn't have any issues.

Maybe I was just lucky.

I would still set some funds aside for a new clockspring. Just incase.
