Damn you,
You indecisive person, now through all your ever changing plans, I am too sucked into your capricious void. Do I boost the lex or start an NA build all over again? This time with a more custom header and stuff?
I hate you and your neon.

ps
You never beat me!!!
Nah just kidding. At the peak of your NA game you probably would have won.

SO
NA or BOOST for me
and
NA or Boost for you?

im going na.

i cant boost, i like na too much but i make sacrifices you might not want to make on the lex. im cutting metal out of my car, and losing a few things to optimize the power/weight ratio.

i want to go a step further than last time too. custom header, custom intake manifold, i have them designed already. just waiting on a few more answers so i can finish the design and start working on getting them built. custom grind cam is coming soon. i'll probably buy a spare magnum motor and put it in my shed and build it little by little. until it's ready to go in. my current motor can't be doing good. i topped out my car yesterday and the whole time i got on it i was burning oil out of my exhaust. my tips are black.

if you get your hands on a team lex header go na. there's plenty of things you can do that no other is'er has done. it just takes a little $

i'll most likely be spraying too.

I have a honda-tech guy making me 2 merge collectors.
Team Lexus header is an impossible dream. They best I can do is get a header (xerd) and then have it modified with a stepped piping, equal or close to it length piping, and merge collectors with a 3inch exhaust. Loudness.
Emanage ultimate.
I dont know.
I drove an evo8 yesterday and boost is awesome, so is allwheel drive.

if you can get two merge collectors do that. modify the xerd. i've been researching dump vs. merge colectors a bit and i've seen the merge ones pick up a nice chunk of power over the dump ones.

Where are you trying to get all your custom work done?
The machine shop by my job? Or you know of another place?

Also I could do a sc430 throttle body with a larger intakemanifold and that would give me better throttle responce and a few extra hp.
You know the guy that had the Teamlexus header...and gutted his car... he made 230whp and his car weight almost 50%-50% and he took off 400lbs of his car.
I would do that I dont much care about form, but function is important.
I think I will buy the xerd header tomorrow, if i get paid.

Also for my bday i will have mad flow, should i get some new shocks and put then on my skunk2 coils or just get tien flex for 700?

most likely the shop by your job. i know of another place that works on automotive parts exclusively, but i haven't checked them out.

get that tb and the intake mani, we'll port it out. or send it to get ported.

im having extrudehone do one part of my intake manifold.

there have to be a few things you can remove too without affecting comfort too much. but even then. gutted ain't too bad.

the tein flex would be more forgiving. you'll have a smoother ride and they're matched. if you get shocks you'd probably have to go with the koni yellows to get a nice ride and good handling. and they;re around $600 so you might as well go flex.

That is if I find flex for sale used.
If I find konis I will get them.
All depends on what I find for a good deal.

I think the shop might charge an arm and a leg for modding the header.
You know the other shop near the dealership, we should check that one out too.

what header is that?

i wont be modding a header. i'm doing one from scratch. im going to try to do as much of it myself as i can. like the basic mock up and the bends and what not .

just let them take care of the welding.

That is the xerd header that I might get tomorrow. If my funds come through.
You dont have a welder or anything, and thats how you are gonna put the header together. We should invest in one!
After learning how to weld we could save a crap load.

A moderately nice welder will run ~500 or less dollars. A gas one. Should be good for whatever application we decide to use it for. Since you want custom intake manifold and exhaust manifold, and probably race cage or various fasteners and weld some of those holes in your body. I think we should get one.
And I am gonna need your help if I decide to get the header to plan out how its gonna looks and mock up fitment and shit.

http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=26 ... team+lexus

look at some of the designs for my header.
