Removing Door Panels?

Post by Sykora » Wed Apr 15, 2009 2:26 pm

Can anyone tell me how to get them off? I'm needing to remove them to change out my door inserts as well as removing my side mirrors. Anyone? thanks

You don't need to remove the door panels to remove the side mirrors. The mirrors have 3 bolts in a triangular pattern: 2 of them are underneath a small part of the door panel area that you can remove, and the 3rd one is visible on the door when you open the door all the way out.

Do you have power windows or manual?

There are three screws you've gotta remove, then pry the panel off a little ways, then reach in and disconnect the bars for the door locks and handle. Also disconnect any power window options you have, then the door panel comes off.

If you've got manual windows, you've gotta pop the c-clip off first, then run around your car three times naked, yelling "sim sala bim bamba sala do saladim."

Afterwards, spin on your head and do a dance to the door gods.

I've never actually done that part since I've the power options, though. I think you're on your own.

There are 3 screws, one in the front door jamb, one in the pull handle and one behind the inner door lever. Afterwards pry the door panel away from the door which has about 10 pins holding it on. I've removed them tons of times.
