srt hood underside

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

srt hood underside

the underside of my srt hood has no carpeting or covering like my sxt hood has
does anybodys srt hood have carpeting or does anybody know where i can get some or should i just try and swap it over

Don't think so, and it isn't carpeting its a fire thingamabobby (yes that is a technical term).

its not needed the least bit.

ya it hasnt changed anything.. i took it off of my old hood and there isnt one on my cf hoood... all it did was trap a bunch of dust..

Turbo is to hot for a carpet.
AND: in "normal" cars this carpet is for sound insulation.
So i guess in a SRT-4 this were very useless and absurd...

i guess the carpet is only for the martens - that they feel well, have it warm, eat your sparkplug wires - and ensure so the income of the stealership... :lol:

It's like a fire blankie....but SRT's didn't come with them due to the hood ducting and heat.

well i asked because the ass who had my hood b4 me cut a big hole for a ram air, and it doesnt look clean or neat in the least bit and i was wondering if it shouldve had some carpeting, or if i should add some to cover the mess

If anything use the silver backed aftermarket stuff, and cut it to fit. It will stay cleaner/be easier to clean. It may cost a little more than an oem piece tho.
