You guys are gonna laugh at me. If by influential you mean for where I'm trying to go with my neon. Cars that look almost bone stock with huge slicks and are fast as shit. The green one went 12.3 all-motor, the blue one almost went 9's, and next time around will go 9's, and the red one goes 9.9's and yes, that is a fire extinguisher for his intake manifold.

Those VWs are pretty sick. I guess I don't really have any 'influential' cars other than some that are on this site. My favorite car is, and always will be:

Doesn't matter what year (hard top is best) they are 'teh secks'. We finally have 1 person in Vermont who owns one. I cry everytime I see it.

I could post up pictures, but I'm sure everyones already seen it a million times.

Glasswars neon is actually my most influential car. He took a domestic 4 banger and finally thought outside the box with it. Because of his style, it gave me a kick in the ass to do what I want with my car as well.

That, and just about every VW car out there.

but my most influential car is this puppy

My mom got this thing brand new and i "learned" standard on it and let me tell you this : You appreciate a neon after trying to drive a civic with 85hp and a slipping clutch.
i told myself right there that i would rather walk than drive that car and 2 weeks later i got my sx :)

My car, of course.

But no, the vehicle that started it all, is in the garage, in pieces.

Outside the box? How exactly is trying his best to make a neon look like one of a million honda/VW tuner cars thinking outside the box?

As for my influential cars

Show me a single neon that looks like that.

RTizzle's car, except for the 4 ft long shifter and the RTizzle valve cover he got rid of, the car would fulfill any neon want I'd have. I'd feel bad owning it knowing I couldn't take good enough care of it.

I've had tons of inspiration growing up.

I'll start with Rusty Wallace and his #2 Miller Lite Ford and Dodge. I was an avid fan of his since I was 14 years old until he retired a few years ago.

For anyone who watches NASCAR, they'll remember this race, and know how amazing it was that this car finished THIRD. It was the Daytona 500 where Earnhardt died...

The next two are the cars I learned how to drive a stick on. My Papa's A6 and my stepmom's A3 in Germany.

Image

Image

The next picture is of my red SRT4 which saved my life, and explains why I love my white SRT4 so much.

Image

The rest are just random cars that caught my attention moreso than other cars, and made me become interested in cars in general.

What I had meant was to get blair to show me a neon that had been done like Anthony's car, and how really clean it was.

Yes, everything has been done before at some point, but the execution of it is what can make it unique.

Because I added the qualify word "domestic" in there. Outside if TiAL's and myztekals (sp on u/m) neon, in my forum life I've never seen someone implement that jdm/vw "i don't give two shits what you think" opion with a domestic car and make it look clean as shit.

Any domestic I tend to see has the same theme. It's old.

thanks joshuwaaaaaa :D

and yeah tiol and myztkal were my two cars i pulled my inspiration off of from the beginning, and if it wasn't for tiols help i probably wouldn't have my front lip on. but i believe i have far surpassed what i was hoping to get out of their style and moved onto more. i just wish more people would follow me, but i dont think anyone wants to spend that much money on a neon, and well, i dont blame them
