When it rains it pours...

Post by 60trim » Sat Apr 25, 2009 4:51 am

Alright. Here is the scoop guys. My car is being a lil bish again and keeps causing more and more trouble. Round one of codes this week were 201, 202, 340, 113, 135, 0073, 0522, 0300. The 201 & 202 were injectors which I replaced. 340 was my camshaft position sensor that was replaced. Code 135 was my O2 sensor which I thought was due to the injectors not firing properly so I left that alone. 0073 is not important since its been on since day one. 0522 is due to my unplugging of my oil pressure sensor. 0300 multiple misfire which was fixed by regapping all plugs to stock 0.035.

NOW to the real problem. After fixing, replacing, adjusting all of the above mentioned and resetting the computer overnight, here is the new set of codes that have arisen. 0135, 0340, 0622,0073,0522,0335. Car won't start now with the new codes. It did previous but now isn't. What do you suggest? I have one more payment on this car then I am probably kissing her good bye if this keeps up.
Thanks 60trim Josh

Wow, that's nuts. Sounds like a dying ECU to me. If you kiss her goodbye, let me know. I need something with 4 doors, and I'll be in Wheat Ridge in a couple months.

Damn that's a lot of codes to look up, I'm too lazy for that right now. Keep that car, especially since it's gonna be paid off. It's going to be cheaper to fix it than it would be to get another car payment. Maintenance will be cheaper than paying a car note for another 3-5 years.

I would like to know if there is a way to check to see if the ecu is bad as well. I just replaced the alternator which was code 622. Replaced both cam and crankshaft sensors which were codes 340 and 335. It still won't start. I am going to replace the upstream O2 sensor to hopefully rid the 135 code too. It's just frusterating considering this is my only vehicle at this time. Is there a way to check to see if the ecu is bad? Thanks again guys.
