Drove to work, drove home. Reattached the knock sensor connector, that had the gall to come loose and enjoy freedom. But the combustion chambers ratted it out.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Overfilled the coolant reservoir... argh. It is hard to tell the level on this with the new coolant.
Purchased the valve cover gasket set... in anticipation of getting the spark plug tubes re-seated.
Broke a bolt attempting to get one of the old headlamps out. This means a trip to the junk yard on Monday.
Drove around enjoying it and to run it through another heat cycle.

Topped up the coolant this morning since some trapped air had escaped with yesterdays driving around.
Started the spring cleanup under the hood. You guys living in the snowless areas are lucky... it gets filth in the engine bay over the winter.
Drove around.
Did more underhood cleanup. Realized the coolant tank is dirty and thats why I'm having trouble viewing the level. Doh!
Let it cool down for 4 hours and rechecked coolant. Looks good.
Yes... it is mothers day so I should be otherwise engaged but my mother is 500 miles north of here.

Ya, I hear you. Given the roads, the way I drive (safe & legal) and a pitstop or two it takes me 6 - 7 hours.
I'll run around the area with my car for another week before venturing on a long trip... need to see how this major retrofit to the cooling system is shaking out. So far, so good.

36K maintenance (the usual 3K check of hoses, LOF, etc. plus a tranny flush), fuel injection system cleanout, new belts and pre-intercooler hose drain ($82 labor charge for that alone!). $421.41 plus the $23 Mobil 1 5W 30 5-quart jug that I bought at Wal-Mart.

I moved me around in a search for parts for it... in other words I drove it.
...and I discovered three small spots on the edge of the rear fender where the paint has bubbled. Originally they were 3 hard bubbled spots that looked like a paint defect. But this now appears to be a rust spot under the paint... ARGH!!!
I should not be surprised... this car has spent it's life going through the harsh winters and dealing with a salt bath almost every day all winter... so there is going to be some damage from that.

Wow what the fuck. Do you have tires on it? LOL
That's almost inconceivably low.
Oh and buying 6qts of oil for lack of balance shafts is getting extremely old. $30 oil changes ftl.

holy crap. lol. yeah i hate having to lift a lowered car. and the only reason it sucks on mine is because the side skirts get in the way of me putting a jack under it.hybrid-Srt2001 wrote:ADIONIK- u think changing your oil on ur car sucks, have you seen my 95? I have to drive up on 2 sets of boards, then scissor jack then low pro jack

Just look at it as, if you were to pay someone to do that it would be $60+Adionik wrote:Wow what the fuck. Do you have tires on it? LOL

I put the new bumper on her, cleaned some bird crap off of here, made a rednecked license plate holder, and humped her for a minute or two...
