So i have been looking around for a while to figure out what exactly i wanted to do with a project car and i came to this conclusion. 1991 Talon TSI. I just test drove this car yesterday and it has some balls. Can't wait to mod it and see how much hp i can get out of it.
what you all think.

I did 450+HP on a 7 bolt block. That 91 has a 6 bolt block. You can get way more out of that. Is it modded at all? I think the only problems on them is the ABS and the seatbelts. That 16G turbo has good potential with a port and polish. The OEM BOV is good. Is it AWD or FWD? PICS!!! I always liked DSMs, Miss mine!

DSMs are money pits. I hope you know of a few donor cars you can get cheap parts from. I had a 1992 all black Talon. I owned it 10 months and was able to drive it for about 6 of them. My mechanic would call me and say "Well, Corey. Your turd is ready. Come get it." NO BS. It was beat, slow and FWD. But it was all black and chicks loved it. I sold it and bought my 1st gen Neon.

Yea its an AWD, and it has mods as well. Its in the shop right now getting values, springs, rods, pistons, basically all new internals. the Engine is solid the person that owns it spend more money in the engine then the paint. The interior is in good condition. Here are all the mods i know of.

act 2600 clutch
16g turbo
greddy type s bov
external waste gate
manual boost controller
550cc injectors
new valve cover gasket
new plugs to be put in new wires
3inch GM MAF
MAF translator box
3 inch apexi exhaust
walbro 255 lph fuel pump
evo 3 half shafts
evo 3 front mount

This is all i can remember but as soon as i get some pics ill put them up.

The paint job is crap but its only 350 to get it repainted just not sure what color yet! Not sure if i want it as a drag car or what.

Get rid of the GM MAF The translator box on mine fried my computer. It is impossible to tune correctly.Look into a DSM link. Everything else llooks good. I agree with the money pits, I spent more time working on mine than I did driving it. Everytime you buy something you have to buy ten additional parts to tune it. When they are running right they are fun as hell. AWD is the only way to go!! 5K and dump it!!!------------->>

I never knew a DSM owner that liked his car. They're nothing but headaches.

His 1st gen doesnt have crank walk issues. It was only the 2nd gen DSM with the 7 bolt block and the little T25 turbo/hairdryer.
