custom radiator shroud?

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

custom radiator shroud?

has anyone tried to make a radiator shroud for the factory radiator and all. i have the tools available at my school.. sheet metal break i think its called and a bender and also cnc and also plasma cutter i wanted to make one that fit like the perrin one and had Blueneo03 in it..instead of the perrin. anyone tried it?

I already have a perrin, but as long as you cut it properly and drill the holes yeah...it's easy as shit. If you could get a template it would be even easier.

I personally want the bigger CBD one that covers the headlight brackets, fucking awesome.

ya i really like that one but its a lot more complicated to do it that way but i might see what is possible to cover up more..

i really like the cbd one but ill see what i can do with this.. it wont happen for a bit.. im goin home for summer but ill probably get some designs up.. but i think that the perrin one is like 40? im not sure...

Radiator shrouds are designed so that the air flowing through the front grille stays hitting the radiator and doesn't deflect upwards into the engine bay.

All of the aftermarket radiator shrouds, except the JMB (the one I have) suck if you ask me. NONE of them allow you to use the hood bumper in the front, and when you have a fiberglass hood, and no hood bumper...it flaps around on the highway.

And all of Perrin's products are discontinued you can only find them used.

lol note taken on the bumper Crystal.. ill see what is possible with that... cuz i know that my hood flaps a bit already.. i dont want it to be any worse than that..

I never noticed it until I installed my TruFiber hood that's on the car now. I had the bumper off for some reason or another and the hood was flapping on the highway. When I got the Perrin one in the mail and realized it was the same way, I sold it.
