Going For Weight Reduction
Working on mad weight reduction before carlisle. The process starts today and i hope to be a lot lighter before carlisle, expecially in the front end and some in the rear. Cannot get into too much detail, but pics will be added shortly with progress updates.

It's sad but true...Paul56 wrote:Vehicle weight reduction starts with the driver.
There's a local here that has a 12sec car, but it is a high 11sec car with the proper driver.The owner used to weigh over 300lbs and has since gone on a diet and I think he now hovers around my weight
He has yet to run his car since then, but the rule of thumb is:
100lbs = 1/10th of a sec in the 1/4 mile on average
With that said, you need to shave an average of 1000lbs of a car to gain only 1sec in 1/4 mile time.Your better off trying to balance the weight and add more power to the car...

Weight redux for drag racing is almost useless, unless you literally are looking to gain tenths. In road racing balance is key, and so is weight. Less weight = less roll = more grip.
