exhaust valve sizes

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

The magnum and standard head have the same size valves. IIRC the DOHC valves are a different size. I can check at home for the valve size. There is a post somewhere, I think it may be parts request that tells the sizes also. IIRC Danteneon posted it. But don't hold me to it. It's been a while since I read it.

sorry, the magnum exhaust ports are larger.

EDIT: People have done magnum head swaps and the used the non-mag valves but magnum springs.

The factory specs for the diameter are 28.32-28.52mm (1.114-1.122 in). Some places will call them 28.65mm.

If a parts store can't tell you what the standard size is for a SOHC valve, then I wouldn't buy from them. It should be a pretty basic thing. :tardbang:

On a virgin engine, a small raised dot on the valve spring retainer will indicate a valve that has a triple bead lock. No raised dot will indicate a single bead lock. At least that's what I've found from my experiance.

You know know eveything there is to know about 2.0L SOHC valves. :D
