high idle, only when in park?

My neon started this a few days ago, when sitting in park it idles up to 1k - 2k (most of the time at 1k). goes back to normal when in drive or any other gear, only when in park.

Im thinking vac leak somewhere... Ideas?

If it is fine in "N" then I doubt a vacuum leak. I'd lean more towards the Gear Sense circuit. The pcm adds a little rpm when in gear, but in your case it is bass ackwards.

What year is your neon? I'm not sure how it's detected on the 4 speeds, but I imagine the 3 speed is in some way through the neutral safety switch.
