Brake caliper bolt.

Post by deep1ca » Thu May 21, 2009 5:09 pm

The car was making a slight rubbing noise coming from the front drivers side wheel under low speed braking and sometimes during low speed driving. I took the wheel off and checked it out. Turns out I somehow lost the upper brake caliper bolt and the caliper would sometimes shift a little and rub on the wheel. No idea how the bolt disappeared...it might have broke somehow and half the bolt might still be in there i suppose.

Anyways, whats the part number for the replacement caliper bolt.

Is it Brake Caliper Bolt/Pin Part Number: H15068 ??

Thanks, Deep

6502527 $2.80

I would replace both, as the one left may be fatigued due to handling all the load.

Granted the full force of braking is supported by the stand offs (knuckle) but the bolts keep it from walking out.

Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.
