What to do...

Post by mopar4life » Sat May 23, 2009 1:36 am

I ask this every few months as priorities and situation changes but hey aint shit else to do eh? Im looking at a few different mods I should do but I want a lil input from yall. Ive been wanting gauges and an A Pillar gauge pod, but it seems the more I drive it the more I want a STS. It just seems like its a long way between the gears. Ive already got a K&N drop in filter and 2.5 inch straight exhaust with a glasspack. Itll peak 17psi then bleed down to 5psi by redline. Im pretty good on power I like to think, I just wanna maximize what Ive got already. Some of you may remember my main problem with getting solid motor mounts but I can because of my A/C mount, its weak the way it had to be repaired so until I get a solution no mounts. Ive also thought about grabbing a trunk from a junkyard car for mine without spoiler holes so I can do either/or far as the wing goes. I think its low enough to be practical at stock height but those Stage 1 springs would be fun. My uncle is gonna get my wheels power coated black for free in the next few weeks. Whatelse is there I could do? I dont wanna add power or change it up too much as subtle mods are the best.

Here's a pic:

I dont wanna add any power tho lol. Im tryin to keep it reliable. I might do the Maddog setup for my shifter but Im not sure. Anything shorter than stock would be fine for me. I still need to do my racin operation sticker for the backglass, Ive got Kicker on the left, Sachs on the right and my company logo in the middle. All of em are at the bottom of the backglass. Hmm..

Tuning your car properly with the Predator will not make it less reliable at all.

I don't have anywhere to take it to get it tuned and I don't wanna spend 300 plus on a A/F gauge along with all that.

Adjustable WGA for sure considering your boost issues, maybe a boost lean check as well?

it all depends on what your looking for? if you want more power and dont wanna spend alot get T-bolt clamps for all your boost lines!!! and worm clamps for all your vacuum hoses!! 5psi redline seems extremely low! id bet you have a pretty big boost leak which the Tbolts should stop! boost leak is so common with these!! and then ya motor mounts... but first stop the leaks, theres no use putting more boost in with a wastegate if its just going to leak out

That sounds good in theory but my vacumn lines are garbage. I seriously need a new set lol. Ive boost leaked tested it and thats where the boost leak is but somehow it peaks 17 then bleeds down to 8 at 4K rpm and 5 at redline. Who knows lol.

Get the boost leak fixed.

You've got a black car with a black interior. I'm not sure where you live, but a slight tint (50%) might be a practical mod if it gets hot.
