time attack rims
why is it that when you paint a rim black and put a rid stripe around the lip, its called "time attack rims"?

time attack -> a main racing style in japan
the people who raced their cars in these events would often put a color stripe around their wheels to symbolize their team, or for fashion purposes.
japanese wheel companies soon starting producing wheels that already came with a colored stripe around them, and they became dubbed "time attack style" etc.

can't beat the steeze.
and the color combo doesn't have to be black/red, but it's the most common.

Because "Time attack" is way more JDM than NASCAR is.

Rice is JDM. No one likes to bring that up though.

They both look like civics to me
You're missing the point. Nowhere did I say JDM or all japanese cars are rice. I said rice is JDM. It is a JDM originating phenomenon, just like the male bra - another wtf moment for the JDM crew.

Comments like this remind me of the idiots on all the Mazda forums that make stupid comments if someone decides not to spend ridiculous money to put Rays, Volks, or etc on their car.Chris's 02 wrote:ladies and gentlemen we have a winnerglasswars wrote:i think he was saying fail because it's a 30k car on 500 dollar wheels
if your going to spend that much on a car, get wheels worth talking about
Maybe the person who owns that STi autocrosses or road races. I'll never spend a lot of money on Rims for one simple reason. I'll only tear them up on the track. I have nicks and scuffs on my wheels already and I've only had them on the car for 4 events.
How much you spend on wheels doesn't matter. Its what you use them for.
