SRT trans leakin

SRT trans leakin

My SRT trans is leakin right at the bottom where you drain the fluid out at, its not the plug its where those 2 pieces meet. Its leaking around it. What the hell is it?

So it's leaking from the end plate? The FSM says to put a bead of RTV on the end plate before installation, so maybe that's where the problem is.

We've never had that end plate off so we should take it off and resilicone it?

I guess, if that is in fact where it's leaking from. Or maybe the bolts just need to be torqued down to the proper specs.

I think there is a special dye you can add in to diagnose leaks, but it sounds like you may have pinpointed the area already.
