got pulled for tails
got pulled over for tail lights yesterday, thats it just my tails. apparently a warning was not in this cops agenda so im faced with either paying the $114 fine or doin some court stuff. i do have a couple Q's though.
1) if i got the ticket in miami, can i deal with it in orlando or do i need to drive back down to miami?
2) i told my roommate and he said i can just remove the tint and take it to the police station and theyd sign off on the ticket or some crap
3) any advice on what i should do?
* please keep this anti-cop post free, just spent some time searching online and re4ad through about 4 pages of "cops have nothing better to do" and crap like that so please only constructive comments"

Not sure about FL, but I'm pretty sure any fix-it ticket can be signed off at any police station once repaired. If I were you I'd call your local PD and just ask. Can't hurt

My brother got a window tint ticket. He just had to pull the tint off and go to the local police department. I'm in Virginia by the way. Hopefully it is the same for you!

You can probably have it signed off on at your local jurisdiction, but court is gonna have to be in the City/County of the "arresting" jurisdiction.

I would go to your local police, and ask them if you remove the tint/replace the tails, if they would call the other juristriction on your behalf; to have the charges dropped.
If not reduced.
The officer issued a citation, so they will still want some blood from you.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

honeslty,
before your court hearing, have a reputable shop right up a repair order stating that your modified taillights were replaced with OEM equipment.Go to the hearing with stock taillights and state you did not realise that they were illegal or not DOT certified and that you had the OEM taillights reinstalled to comply with DOT and inspection certifications. They may blow it off or not, but atleast when it goes on file the file states you reinstalled OEM....
Thats my 2 cents....
