SRT springs on a Base model

Post by mastershake » Wed Jun 03, 2009 8:51 am

Just curious if SRT springs will fit on a Base model. And if there are any benefits to doing this in respect to handling, and lowering.

Thanks!

Yes, they will fit. The rates are slightly higher than base Neon springs, and they are good for apprx 10mm drop (almost 1/2"). Won't do too much for you in the handling department, but they are considered a step up from stock (a baby step).

Cool, thanks. I'll just get the prokit then. There was a set on ebay for $45 with free shipping, but from what yal are saying, i'm just gonna spend the money and get the Eibachs.

It depends on what you are aiming for. If you just want to slightly lower it, then the SRT springs are the way to go.

But if you want lower you will be wasting money.

I wanna lower it at least an inch, and improve handling a little.

If you lower a neon that much with any of the available springs you will mega-fuck any chance you had at a car that handles.

Go Mopar, H&R, or, Tein and get some bigger wheels(it will look lower)

Good call. I forgot about Mopar Performance springs. I had them on my R/T back in the day and i loved how they woke the car up.

Does anyone recall the dodge dealership that great deals online, and for neon forum members?? I know i bought most of my upgrades from them for my R/T but that was many cars ago, so i've brain dumped what the dealer was. :tardbang:
