How would this bumper look?

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

How would this bumper look?

Post by UriahRR » Fri Jun 05, 2009 3:24 pm

Firstly, I have a green 2000 ES and I want to switch it having 03+ black halo projectors with a black 03+ hood (non-SRT) with the bumper below.

http://www.grounddynamics.com/Templates ... lderId=601

What does everyone think this bumper would look like painted green on my green car with a black hood and black headlights on top?

Also, I would be getting just the bumper. This is one of the most tastful ones I've seen, but I'm afraid it might look a bit buck-toothed with just the front bumper and not a full bodykit. To even that out, I'm also looking for a black trunk with an SRT wing (or without, then I would just put one on).

Any input, opinions, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

don't know... seems like a bandwagon trend...
seems like they are trying to copy like a VW Golf front end...which is kinda the same as some of the imports, like the new Lancer front end... thinkin the newer Subaru's are doing something like that too..
it's that "large-mouth-bass" look.. giant open black space in the front...
not diggin that look... am one of, I guess, a few that think they ruined the Mitsu Evo with that front end...yuk

Actually, to talk about a completely different car than the Neon, I disliked the old HotWheels looking Evos. I think the new ones look much more mature.

Well this body kit was out before the new evo, or gli/gti came out..
there for it's not so much copying and going with the bandwagon, but IMO that body kit would look sick for a show car, with a nice ass intercooler in the open space!!!!

I just think it makes it look kind of like the old Subarus with the circle headlights. I dislike my current headlights. Plus, I just bought them and the rubber around them is already falling off. Also, my front bumper and fender still have a bit of damage from hitting a deer a bit ago, so I figured I might as well replace the whole front end with the updated model's styling.

I'm still just a bit afraid of it looking bucked-toothed. If it does, I'd probably just pick up a set of the mopar side skirts to even it out.

If you only buy the bumper it would look stupid. You'd need side skirts and a rear end to match it.

Haha, thanks for your blunt honesty. ^ That is what I am afraid of, though.

Ok, what about this one?

Though I like the other one a bit better, the $145 difference kind of MAKES this one worth it. Also, it doesn't look like it hangs down so low.

Well... it doesn't hang down low at all, but I actually wanted to avoid the crosshairs. Do you know if they make it for the 03-05 front end? Do you have a link?

Yeah thats pretty cheap. $125... I wonder how much shippinjg is though. Probably $150, hahaha.

the one they posted is the Kaminari front end and no I don't believe they make it for 03+.

I am with LPS, its absolutely retarded to have an aftermarket front bumper with no skirts or a lower rear bumper. The SRT wing will just make it worse. Your car looks fine how it is now man.

I'm actually thinking about just getting a trunk with the sxt wing on it. The SRT-4 does seem a bit like overkill.

I'm probably going to get this bumper with the Mopar side skirts, see how it looks, and then do the rear if it REALLY needs it. My final question is, since the bumper in the picture has the SRT-4 hood, would I need the srt-4 hood? The site isn't specific. I think it looks better with the SRT-4 hood, but I don't know if I'd need it.

You probably will need it if you don't like gaps where your hood is.

I am curious on how much shipping is on that front end...

it kinda just looks like a goofy srt4 front but yeah you need skirts anr a rear to go with or it it will look really out of place

Just checked. It's $151 for shipping... well, I guess that makes up the price difference from the first bumper.
