Well if god forbid post #30 is somehow true, then it wouldn't have mattered.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

I don't Thinkit was driven away since it was short two gears. I believe a covered trailer or a flatbed with a cover was used. Even without the graphics this car is too noticable.

I t wasn't running so it wouldn't even matter if you had the key, unless they fixed it an drove it off. You can pull a car onto a flatbed regardless if yo have a key or not.
Most car thieves steal popular cars to resell the parts, this would be a waste of time unless you keep the parts to yourself for your own personal car.
I would say 75% of the time it's an inside job, and this stinks of being an inside job. The guys he knows at the shop may not be involved, but I would bet money it's someone close to them. We had a local honda speed shop that would wait until the customer pays for everything, then steal the car from their house and chop it.

If he knows the VIN of the Swapped engine that can also be a tool in finding whether any newly posted engine swaps are possibly from his car.
Though you would think even with all the customization of the engine bay would make it difficult to off load that without being obvious....
This sucks.

This is the 2ND such story, that I have read this week.
Take a look at what another user, posted up on 'The.Org':
http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=342835
This user had SKIM, and his car STILL got stolen.
This sounds like the work of professionals.
Is there a run on 2nd gen Neon parts or something ?!?

It could be someone you know, or someone who knows someone you know. It could be someone who trolls these message boards looking for a target. There was a case like this on a rx7 forum where the guy used a vin number to have a key cut and stole the car. He got caught after the parts showed up on other forums.

This is one of those cases where a lojack would have been a good purchase. If you've spent more money on aftermarket parts than your car is worth, a lo-jack is just good security. I hope his insurance covers all the aftermarket stuff, especially if they find it stripped on the roadside sitting on blocks.

Considering he has been through a rough time recently, that option may not have been there. I don't know the details, but the finances aren't always there, and you just have to pray the wolves don't eat you.
Unfortunately the Krackmobile was lookin' tasty.
