hey guys im looking at getting some alpine 4" speakers fr the front dash. thing is there 3.5 up there so i was sondering how much of a problem woutl it be to install these?

save your money and buy better speakers for the doors. the dash is a terrible place to mount speakers. while the opening is for a 3.5" speaker the factory is only a 1" with an adapter on it.

buy a component set. theyre a lil mor expensive than coaxials but sound so much better. and all u have to do is run the tweeter up to the dash. the hardest part is getting the wire thru the door loom

boo!! don't do that, mount the tweet in the sail panel. much better results. you don't even have to be careful on the hole depending on the mounting hardware.

all great great responses...but i have already replaced ALL the speakers in the car including my 3.5's....just that the iones i bought blew in like 2 days so i was looking at the alapine ones...as i have a full alapine system.

i have some extra speaker mounts if you dont want to risk hacking youres just pay shipping.
