10k Hids

Got my 10k Hid set from VVME and started installing them today. When they first turned on they were blue, but as they heated up they are pure white. I rechecked the order and I def ordered 10k. Am i missing something here or did they send me the wrong stuff?

Looks more blue than my 5k set. Doesn't look like 10k though.

Pictures dont do them justice. They are definately 5 or 6. 10k us a deep blue. I mean they are very bright, but I wanted blue lol.

I called their number and talked to a lady, ofcourse I couldn't understand most of what she said. But she told me to take pictures of the light and send them to vvme and their professionals will see if they are actually 10k. Lady I don't need to be a pro to know that pure white isn't dark blue. But I sent the pics last night and I'm waiting on my response.

that is 6k 5k are more bright white. mymoney is 5k

According to their website they will exchange incorrectly sent items, but you have to pay for shipping both ways. So lets see here a second. Shipping is 18.99 one way. To buy a new bulb it is $5.99.

So to exchange my bulb: $37.98
To buy a new 10k set and have two sets: $24.98

If they don't want to exchange them for free and stuff I'll just buy another set, and save myself money and have two sets.

Well I priced it. And it was like $3 dollars cheaper from vvme. And alot of people here have the vvme kit and love it. Don't get me wrong the quality of the products seems to be wonderful. Amazing for $55...

We'll just see if their customer service will hold up.

And the light output is much lower than 5K. Personal preference is my guess?

I buy every HID from ebay. and they havn't failed me yet. it just depends on who you buy it from

Not looking for light output. It's in my foglights. Even 10k are going to be brighter than my stock halogens. I just want blue lights for the foglights because I think it looks good.

And a few people around here have 8 and 10k and have never been pulled over so I'm not worried about it, especially since they are in my foglights.

They are doing me no favor when I ordered 10k. I didn't secretly want 6k. But since 10k's are so bad and me having them is going to offend most people on here i"m just going to drop it and keep my 6ks.

At the end of the day it is what you want, not what someone else wants.

I thought they were in your headlights is why I mentioned light output. For fogs light output isn't as important.

the higher the number the blueish/ purpleish it will be.. i have 10k on on and its a little whiter then the 12k i had on before.

It blinds people, and it kind of sux when some1 with 10k is behind me, i can't see shit.
and besides it will save u some ticket's too.

He's right. 10Ks are unneccessary and annoying as fuck. It may not be as annoying in fogs, but still unnecessary. A yellow spectrum would be better for fog lights anyway

Is the bulb labeled in any way, My set has the "K" value stamped on it. I have the 9007. I have also seen a tag on the bulbs themselves. Sometimes the boxes are labeled wrong.
