i guess i should have mentioned, my fogs dont work, one is cracked and one has water in it. so visibility is not an issue

Tint them, it goes great with the car's color and better with the wheels.

The side markers definitely tint them. It looks really good on a graphite car. As far as the fogs, if you ever get them working again you could remove the tint, but other than that why not.

Here's another idea for you. How about opening the side markers and painting the chrome part body color? It would give you a clean look.
OK, I'm biased since I color matched mine

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I voted tint them, but only because "Return to stock" was not an option in the poll.

I think hes talking about returning the side markers to stock. I vote leave them as is.

Because in some states that is illegal.

What would be illegal? The lamp still functions as designed. If it's the reflectivity of the lamp (which isn't part of any states inspection requirement that I know of) the tint would have the same effect. Unless I'm completely wrong (could be)

its the side markers and fog lights, you can paint them black if you want lol, your not required to even have them on a car so why would it matter if you paint them?

I think leave them clear, I actually like it better than the tint. Tint or body color paint the markers though...
