As most of you know, I'm swapping my front end to the '00-'02 style and all I'm needing is my front bumper (got the headlights and fogs in the trunk). Just a question since I've been kinda eyeing the R/T '02 front bumper lately... you guys think I should just stick with a stock R/T front bumper and no civic lip or do the whole non-R/T front bumper + civic lip?

The R/T bumper can be pretty expensive and hard to find, so if you can find one, grab it.

because what's the point if the civic lip will just cover the r/t lip?

I voted '02 + lip. An R/T will be very pricy.

Ya, didn't know Certifit doesn't have the R/T bumper in stock. My buddy is trying to find me a local Civic Lip to buy 'cause I'm not about to spend $80 on one from eBay (like $15 for the lip, rest in shipping... ridiculous...).

Such a tasty picture ^_^ see, I don't mind just having the R/T "lip" (though it would make the front of my car sit higher than it does now). I'm just impatient and don't know when I can find a Civic Lip.. plus I don't want to seem un-original... maybe I should just get a new car

This is the same pickle I'm in. R/T or 02 + civic? I voted 02 + civic just because it was more original and much cheaper. However, most of your answers seem to be about money, which makes me think that the 02 + civic is just the cheap way out of getting the real R/T. That's what makes me want to go all the way and get the real R/T. However, on a dark green car, you might not even be able to see the miniscule R/T lip, so I might as well save money by getting something that can actually be seen. :quotes: :blah5: :blah5: :blah5: :wackoff:

Well it's not concerning money, perse, but just getting opinions on what people think. Certifit sells the non-R/T '02 Front bumper cover for $30... you can't beat that lol. Gotta factor in the cost of getting it painted. And if I do manage to get a Civic Lip, I gotta get that color matched as well and I would really like the lip molded to the bumper so it's flush (exactly like this guy's bumper, link, but not modded to have '03+ headlights... though that would be awesome).

Just don't expect the certifit to fit 100% perfect. They aren't terrible by any means, but just not OEM. I have the '03 R/T rear, and it does lack a little where it meets the rear quarter.

And Dante, you didn't tell me you were going to Renn Faire, you bish!

Ya, but I'm willing to take a chance lol. I think it was Mat666 who said he bought an '02 Front bumper from Certifit and it was fine. Plus it's just $30.. not too horribly bad.

Would this one be better or worse than the Certifit?

As long as Certifit is fairly close, the shipping is just your time/gas getting there.
Certifit pwns, if you have one local. I wish I had just got the front bumper there, instead of the Kaminari. That cat would have only cost me $30 plus paint, if it would have even done anything at all.

I'm sure it will cost much more for repairs. I may still do the certifit. The '02 front has been growing on me...

Well, I'm not going to lie.. that makes me feel quite awesome lol. You're car is personally my favorite. We'll see what I do. I am headin to Certifit tomorrow though. See if I can get the bumper turned in before the weekend to get painted. Who knows, maybe I'll just keep my '03+ front end. Bored of the '02 look? Swap it back... lol.

Thanks for all the input. Got a lot more feedback than I was thinking.
