Baby-less Rear Deck

Post by UriahRR » Sun Jul 05, 2009 1:27 pm

Just a quick question: Did they ever make a rear deck/shelf without the baby seat latches? If so, would I need to do anything special to swap mine out? I really hope they make them without the latches, since they are ugly as hell.

Let me know.

I remember the last time, someone asked about bux tails i thought you were joking when you said you had a set in your trunk... like they were connected...

...you actually had a spare set in your trunk. I'm going to have to check your stuff for sale.

I would actually like to buy that rear deck from you if I can just swap it into mine. I'm pretty sure we could meet somewhere (like at the picnic at Shawn's house). Let me know if you're interested in selling it.

oh it needs to go. The only thing you will have to do to your car will be to either cut the child restraints off or bend them back. and remove the middle seat belt (if you have one)

Nice. I hate both of those things, so it will be a pleasure to remove them. How much do you want for it?

Didn't know they made those. I have my middle seat belt out now and there is just a big hole in it. I'm gonna have to look into finding one now.

If you don't have the option of getting your hands on one of those all you need to do is cover over the existing holes and put some backing on them so it doesn't fall through.

I did it with mine (speaker grilles are a work in progress and not sunken yet)

^ See, everyone hates those ugly-ass baby-seat latches. I'm trying to at least make my car LOOK sporty, but every time I see those stupid things on the rear deck, I'm reminded that it is most widely used a grocery-getter.

I like them cause i use them to anchor my baby in the car so his car seat doesn't tip over. It reallys helps.

I am officially the first person that likes them so there.

I would imagine they work very well since then you don't have to rely on looping the seatbelt and shit. But... I'm 19. So, personally, I hate them

And don't you ever forget it!

The baby seat latches are something that I never even thought about, and will prolly soon forget. It just doesn't bug me at all.

Now the fact that the rear windows that you can't easily reach while driving aren't power, that bugs me. See that's where you need the extra latch; to strap the trunk monkey in, to operate the windows. :D
