Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh - ugly housewifetuning - or "ricemotorsportlookalikeelcheepotuning"

Two things: It is ugly and it can slip in corners. I guess you don't wanna see your steeringwhell turning back while you hold the cover in your hands...

There is only one acceptable kind of steeringwheelcovers - that you have to sew up to your steering wheel that it looks professional!!!

Meh, I have a Wal Mart one.

Slipping? Not likely(in this case). You can barely get the sonofabitch on. I only have it because the foam is deteriating from previous owners fingernails wearing away the top layer. The wheel looks far more hideuos than the cover. Rice, not really in this case, as it does perform a function: Saving my cheap ass from buying a new wheel.

Nothing wrong with OP's choice of cover - may get a tad hot in the sun, though...
 <--- (OP's face when he grabs the wheel after car has sat in the sun for 8hrs)

Now that I looked at the link, that is the same as mine.

It doesn't really get any hotter than anything else in the car.

Just be prepared for a death struggle getting the cover on.

It's not for everyone but to each their own. Personally I have one of the faux leather ones that you have to lace up. They are a pain in the arse to get on, but they look pretty good once you get it done.

I recently put the one in the link below on...

http://preview.tinyurl.com/mkemzy

Two reasons I did this...

-With the heat the steering wheel can be almost too uncomfortable to hold. With this cover the wheel remains comfortable to the touch.

-I want to prevent further deteriorating to the wheel due to sun and other effects... the cover protects it nicely.

Slippage? I don't think so as the cover fits extremely tight.

I went with plain since I don't like attracting attention with the car... don't want to make it a target for kids 'n others looking to break in or whatever.

A side benefit... I enjoy the thicker and cushier feel of the wheel.

On my 1982 Dodge Pickup I replaced the factory steering wheel with a smaller and thicker one rather than go with a cover. I have become more frugal in my old age... so the cover will do nicely.

I have a steering wheel cover, people make fun of it all the time and ask why? I love the damned thing, it's much more grippy than the stock material on the SRT wheel (which IS slippery) and it keeps my steering wheel looking great when I remove it for shows. My dad bought it for me in 2001 and it's been with me through three cars, I refuse to part with it I love it too much. Me and my cover have this bond..... :D

"Comfortable" to the touch? :quotes:

Damn, wish I lived in Canada. Our wheels become rings of fire in the summertime down here. ... and I'm only in PA.

steering wheel covers usually look pretty bad on the neons and that sucks because I personally think the steering wheel already looks lame :/

+1

Unless you driving 100 mph through a slalom every morning to work, the "slippery" material isn't really going to effect drivability of a neon lmfao.

I think I'd get a cover because the neon steering wheel (as they said in my high school) needs 'a little sum'n sum'n.'' ^_^
