Anybody use Ubuntu/Linux? HELP!!!

I have a spare (crap) computer that I used for experimentation. Basically if it gets screwed up I wipe it clean and start fresh without worrying about losing any valuable information.

Recently, I found a "how-to" on tunring a computer into a server using a Linux based Operating system called Ubuntu. I've downloaded said OS and installed it on my "crap" computer. Now I know nothing about Linux or Ubuntu and I've just about gone just about mad trying to get the damn OS to work with my Linksys WMP54GS Wireless PCI card. I've search everywhere and can't find a straight easy answer.

Can someone here who uses Linux or Ubuntu help me out here?
