I agree, I want to go lower too. I was playing volleyball one time and the ball went out into the parking lot and rolled under my rear bumper. When I went to fetch it...I was like :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: lol

Car looks good from that view though. It's really clean and shiny.

It's just the money that's holding me back. If I go lower, it's gonna cost at least $900. I don't wanna go cheaper than Megan coilovers.

True. My tires have a few months left on them, but I'm hoping to get some tires that grip better than the ones I have now.

Thanks LilSparkPlug. I just love the look when there is no wheel gap or slightly tucking. My college wouldn't agree though, the speed bumps there suck.

Most roads wouldn't agree and your front bumper would hate you.

Unless you live in a state that doesn't get pot holes and roads are straight true like glass or you are going to trailer it every where keep it like it is. Trust me I want to go lower on my 1st gen but the roads in MD while better then most states is very unkind to aggressively lowered cars and we won't talk about residential streets with speed humps and steep driveway transitions

Your car looks good how it is, maybe try and find some new wheels that could be a little bigger to give it that "tuck" look.

You can go as low as you want around here in Maryland (well, around me) we use the tax money in a different way... it goes..

1. Highways
2. Streets
3. back roads
and to skip down the list..
295. Public Schools

I love Maryland...

:D

The biggest I would go would be 16's. 17's look weird if you're stock on the outside like me.

arent u already lowered ? then no it wouldnt. u just gotta pick the rite style of rims and they wont look bad at all. then wrap them around a 215/45 tire and ur set.

I think 17's look awkward on Neon's. 16's look better IMO, Funnyneon's car is a good example

I agree about the 16's, to an extent. I think 17's would look way better on our cars in a lower offset. Dish with stretched tires and rolled fenders. No one has done it and I think it would just look plain raw. Flush FTW.

How low of an offset would our cars be able to take?

Depends on the width of the wheel.

For example, how about a 7.5" wide wheel?

If someone would make them, I think a 17x8 with a 20 offset and lots of camber would fit. I've seen a 15x8 (Kosei K1) with a 22 offset, and 2.5 degrees of camber on a 1gn. It looked really good.

There are tons of variables. Best way to know is to go out and measure, then calculate, then remeasure. Having coilovers will get you quite a bit of extra space. The key would be finding a way to clear the tension struts in the back, and rolling and/or flaring the fenders. Dish isn't even as important as the wheel being flush IMO. So a +25 or +20 7" wheel with about a 195 tire on it would probably look sick. Or an 8" with a 205. Could prob get away with leaving the fenders alone if you ran enough camber too (~3-4 degrees). I plan on attempting a setup like this sometime soon, but it wouldn't be my daily setup for obvious reasons. More of a cool weekend/show setup.
