its getting rough

Post by w0158981 » Mon Jul 20, 2009 11:42 pm

so it's getting rough over the last month to hold onto my neon, it seems like more and more is going wrong i've replaced parts left right and center and.

don't get me wrong i love my neon, i look at how i got it compared to what it is now and i lose my mind. I put so much work into her and have a very unique kit goin on. Its my own style and it is a part of me. It's my first car also which holds alot to.

the car is 10 years old and i'm still up in the air with the idea of giving her up, i mean i look for a car i would like to own and it feels like no other is worth it to me. But i have become interested in several VW's

so i'm not in the position of just waiting and thinking

Dude keep the neon. I just bought a second not too long ago. I know how you feel though. When me and my girl were looking for a second well third car i started to wander a bit from the neons and was looking at a few VW's and even a Saab. yeah maybe they might have a few more options and stuff but i just love my little mpg machines. well just do what you feel though. You're gonna be the one driving whatever car you own.

dude if you get anything, don't get a German car- my bro and friend have a VW and the repairs are very costly compaired to a neon or other American vehicle.

well i'm truly in love with the new gti's i love the steel color with the red lip on the grill.

but i've also been lookin at an 03 wolfsburg edition 1.8t jetta
and a vr6 2007 jetta

but then i look aty my neon and kinda feel better for putting her up for sale. she is right now up for sale on kijiji around here. i couldn't decide on a price because i know i would instantly expect to much because she is my baby

I wish I could sell my neon. I'd like something really luxurious and quiet for cruising and regular driving. The Neon feels kind of unreliable to be honest...and now that the transmission is messed up I really don't want it

Car payment, full coverage insurance, maintenance, and VW. Add all these together and it is very high!!! Maintaining a 10 year old car is much easier. Look at the price of a used Neon motor and compare to a 1.8t or VR6. I have also owned a few VWs and I wont do it again!

I just dumped a bit of money in to my neon as well. In my case it was worth keeping and putting the money in to, although my hand was kinda forced in a couple of cases.
