They started in 1997 in Japan. They are apart of the Hatsujo Spring Corporation. They've been involved in endurance racing mostly like the 24hrs of LeMans.

Soo they're proven then. I saw the packaging and the name seemed eerily familiar to some eBay springs and though uhhhhhh.... Mox?!

There is how it sits today. It'll look a lot better when I get the 275/35 tires in the next month or so.

lol.. 10mm wider than my current 265/35 tires. The 275 matches the stock height a lot better and I could use the slightly wider contact patch. My current tires are pretty trashed, the front drivers side has some nasty chopping from the alignment being off.

275 does seem huge when you think about it, especially when were used to driving cars that you can barely fit 235 wide tires without worrying about rubbage.

Ordered an HKS Panel Filter and down loaded the Cobb Stage 1+ map into my access port when I get the filter I'll be able to update the maps and probably add a couple more horse power. My car has over 16,000 miles on the stock paper filter so it was time to change it with something better.

275s barely fit on the Monte in the rear, and I think they rub in the front if you go to full lock.

The 275s will rub slightly on the inner fender wells at full lock, nothing to worry about though.

Well, I should say that fitting insanely wide tires on the back of the Monte is just a back-halving away :D

and 275's are just 20mm of offset away on an EVO. I'm really not looking forward to spending another $900 on tires, but oh well. This is only set number 3 in one year, I went through 4 sets in the first year on the Mazda.

Got the HKS Filter in the mail today.

Image

It was super easy to install. Took less than 15 seconds to take out the old filter an put the new one into place.

Image
Image

The fun part was getting my AccessPORT updated and flashed into the car. As the Stage 1 maps are intended for a stock car with a stock intake/filter.

Image
Image

With the Stage 1+ maps installed I decided to do some quick data logging.

Image

Boost peaked at 23psi and tapered down to 17psi. I had virtually ZERO knock with the new maps and my 0-60 times improved into the low 4 second range.

Image

The data logging says that I've gained 57HP and 72ft.lbs over stock. Yes, I know that most data loggers aren't 100% accurate when it comes to measuring 0-60 times, or horsepower. But I will say that most people who had Stage 1+ put down in between 300 and 310 awhp at the wheels. So with the a calculation of drivetrain loss the 348hp at the crank could be accurate.

All and all the gains over the Stage 1 maps aren't noticeable by feel, but the new maps and filter should help the car breath better and perform slightly better.

You gained in a couple mods what Dodge needed 2.0 Liters to produce. Major win!

Only "Performance" Modifications are a drop in Filter, Cat Back exhaust, and the AccessPORT... 19% gain in Horsepower.

I'm real tempted to upgrade to Stage 2 next, but I definitely need tires first.
