I believe that is incorrect.

[EDIT] Just actually looked, and I am incorrect. However, if you could find 4 tires with the same overall dimensions, even if they are different brands, it should work.

Nobody on eBay selling a set of used tires?

Well I checked my stock tires yesterday and didn't like what I was seeing.

Image

Since I have 2 vacations to pay for, I called a recommended machine/welding shop and had them weld the crack in the wheel. They did an amazing job, the wheel looked brand new when they were finished. I took the wheel to my tire shop and the shop manager commented that you couldn't even tell that the wheel was repaired.

I just hope it holds up. I'm not going to autocross on it, I just wanted to be able to use the tires that actually have tread on them.

Well, that's certainly an option. Glad to see the RC car wheels back on there!

Are you still looking towards new wheels eventually, or do you plan on just replacing the one that was recently repaired?

I'm leaning towards getting a second set of wheels and tires just for track use; But I could change my mind.

I'm actually contemplating painting these wheels another color. I just don't know which color. Octane Blue, Rally Red, Graphite, etc have all crossed my mind.

I don't think Orange would look good on a red car.

I'm actually pretty quiet. I was leaning towards color matching the wheels to the color of the car. I like the contrast that the hyper silver wheels give the car now, I'm just curious what the red on red would look like and a change in look isn't always a bad thing.

That is my suggestion. The silver pops well, but the color red your car is doesn't really allow for wild colors, IMO.

Actually if you went orange, you should go with traffic cone orange. If people ask, tell them it's because of how many cones you've killed.

I thought this was going to be a clever post where the before was the EVO and the after was the Mini Cooper

However, the brake dust looks good on the wheels... Bronze would look nice on there imo.

I go through that every time I wash the car. It wouldn't look bad with a graphite or Bronze color wheel.

Felt good driving the EVO after a week of only driving the Mini. They are 2 completely different cars. The EVO feels so much more Raw and badass after spending any time at all in the Mini.

Took the driver's side wheels off of the car today to inspect them for cracks and/or nails. I've been losing air in both tires over the past month, and just haven't had time until today to inspect them. I had a huge nail in each tire. I think I get more nails, screws, and other sharp items in my tires than anyone else. I'm just glad I didn't crack another wheel.

The MINI looks sorta like a stalker in this picture.
