2"drop on 20's

Post by warock » Fri Sep 30, 2005 9:41 pm

im planning on a major change to my srt over the winter would a 2 inch drop and adding 20's along with a complete urethane bushing kit along wit hotchkiss sway bars be a good combo for handling?

before i got on bags, it was close between me & louie. But back to the question, im not sure how much handling you'll have with 20s. I really don't think that is a good combo if you are looking at the handling aspect

17s or 18s........but if you want handling man just buy some 20s like you want & keep your stockers with a nice set of rubber

yes there is a reason why you won't ever see anything over an 18in wheel on a racecar.

actually what race is that where they race for 24 hours in vettes & vipers & stuff like that? I can't think of the name, but i know the rims are bigger than 18s & they are about 2" or less from the ground

yea those 20s are going to def. add alot of weight and take away from your performance, but if you are just gonna use them for shows, then no biggie.

my friend was going to put 20s on his neon but never did.

im not sure how low you could relaly go w/ wheels that big, but who knows....good luck doing it and cant wait to see pics! :)

the sideskirts dont make my car any lower. im judging by the frame rail, which is a good inch lower than my sideskirt.

last time i checked i was lower than kevin who doesnt have sideskirts either.

im on ipp's.

I'm on IPP's and I'm right around 2 1/4" off the ground. Don't know how that compares to others but just thought I'd throw that in.

You were already the lowest even before kevin moved up north and his car is looowww. He had to raise the back up a bit because of the northern terrain was killing him.

Im gonna say Po12no is lower. He has customized rear air lift in the rear and one off strut bags in the front with custom struts mounts. Only pic without sideskirts is this. And this is b4 the new front bags and wheels.
