Nice job modifying the front bumper so you could keep your hood though :P
If you notice the piece I cut off the middle of the front bumper was used as a license plate light cover on the back.

Nice job fitting the kit! Usually fiberglass kits don't fit worth a shit. Yours looks like it fits nicely!

You have no idea how much work that kit took to fit. The original skirts were too short, the rear bumper had gaps where it meets the QP, and the front needed a bit of modification as well.

LOTS of hours indeed.

Nice job! I had trouble with mine until I found Light-n-bolts. they are license plate bolts that have white LEDs recessed into them. They are flush and are actually smaller than regular bolts and wire thru the center of the bolts shaft to your original plate light wires.

I think I'm going to paint it black...maybe even a satin black...I don't know

I hear you can colorsand and buff Single Stage paint to the point where it shines as good as Base and clear.

Here is an example

Also the paint is fairly cheap and has nothing but good reviews.

You can see it here

Single stage will likely always outshine base/clear if done right, but the upkeep can kill it fast. Even something as simple as washing/waxing can start to rub single stage off (ull see ur rag changing colors lol)

i don't consider satin black as the right color since your rims are actually black, it may looks like a whole black box. so maybe e-blue or light blue might fit... just my opinion

dark red will be good too. just don't try yellow...

You have to realize this is a 2000 neon...I don't think I need to spend $1000 on "wheels" since I know it won't add any more value then the current setup.

I love how nobody noticed that the license recess is off to one side...hehe

There is no fing way I'm cutting it out and doing 12+ hours of bodywork to move it 1.5 inches.

as for resale any mods youve done dont add any "value" so wheels wouldn't be any different then any other exterior mod.

I'm sure it's worth more then when I got it...if you seen the bodywork that needed to be done on the car itself. :quotes:

Unfortunately, unless you find just the right buyer, any mods you do typically do not add any value to the car, as its unlikely someone will like the exact thing you like...

Really think the kit fits well, but the car is screaming for paint, a drop and wheels in that order. I think a dark colour would be good.

You don't need to spend a ton on a decent set of wheels. You could find some decent used rota's and refinish them for under 400 bucks. As far as not being able to drop it, I was pretty low back in the day and drove around northern Ontario and Toronto and I managed lol!

PS. I rocked that same wheel combo pretty good back in '05 :)
