Vermont's one day of summer!

Post by JeffM » Sun Aug 02, 2009 10:06 pm

So, yesterday we FINALLY had a dry, hot, sunny day! No rain, no crappy cloud cover; just B-E-A-utiful summer. Pretty much the only day this entire summer that has actually looked the part. So I took it upon myself to wash and polish the car and of course take some PIKT0RZ for everyone.

Oh and I'm sorry, Nate. I couldn't bring myself to wetsand the paint. :-(

Thanks, Nick! I have my front badge in my room right now. I'm just gonna blame it on me being lazy. :-P

Nice pics dood!

Do you plan on wet sanding at all or are you leaving it as is?

I have the sandpaper ready to go, I'm just worried about screwing up. I'll probably try it out next weekend and see what happens.

It's pretty easy...get a bucket of water, dunk the paper, sand lightly, repeat.

If the paper starts to get grabby wet it again. Since you are trying to smooth the paint, not remove it, light pressure is all that's needed.

Wash and dry the car, then go to town with your clear

They are matching headlights. :beatstick: The sun was only hitting the passenger side so it made it look different.

Thanks for all your great comments everyone. They really keep me going with working on my car.
