Pulled over...tails re-done and 3rd also!!!

Here is the before....really DARK!

Johnny Law didn't like the way they looked at NIGHT(

) so I stripped them and started again.
I had an idea..here is the beginning:

ready for tint:

4 coats:

masking removed:

Here they are after 2 more coats of tint and cleared, wet sanded, and polished:

I forgot to clean the adhesive off after removing the masking, so the tint didn't flow smoothly, and there is some splotchiness seen in the reverse lens.

UPDATED, 3rd brake light now done..almost hides in there!

brake shines through nice, even in day light!

SEE THE LIGHTNING ABOVE THE ROOF?

interesting idea, I like it.

I have noticed now that i have tinted the tails, that its hard to tell the differance between the parking and brake lights. This definatly would fix that problem.

Not to be a total ass. I am very particular about my car so I really don't understand tinted tails and such because I switched to LEDs so I can give the assholes behind me as much advance warning as possible for when I brake.

they were dark before but from the pictures it doesnt look much lighter im gonna say you still get shit for them

I don't have a crystal ball, but they transmit 2x or 3x more light than they did and don't look tinted at night. Ill get better day pics - they aren't dark really.

Industrial grade paint thinner.
