Hello from Michigan
Hello from Michigan
I have been visiting the site since getting my 02 R/T and seeing the 2gn.org decals on it. I have the R/T but it is my first 2gn but not my first Neon.
I had a 96 Sport that I bought to have fun with and when the chance arrived I turned it from a daily driver to a racecar to run in Spec Neon in 16 days finishing the night before the SCCA comp licenese school. I raced with a great group of guys who mostly were Chrysler engineers including Erich Heushcele who was my instructor for the school. I ran for a couple years until my wife quite her job and started her Phd at Notre Dame and racing had to take a back seat for awhile.
I started autocrossing in 95 and trackdays a year or so later. I have been to McKamey/Evolution autocross school and Bondurant 4 day GP road Race school in AZ. I've instructed at a number of different events including the Saab national event here a few years ago.
All my cars except the Neon were dual purpose street and track cars since I don't want a trailer queen track only car. I'm not the best driver or fastest car on track but I have always had fun and passed plenty high end high dollar cars with drivers that aren't usually pleased to see a Focus,Neon or other 4 cylinder car passing their Mustang,Corvette etc..
I'm always glad to offer whatever help I can offer either in the form of a post or if local getting my hands dirty helping a fellow enthusiast improve their car.

Welcome!
Seems to be more "chronologically experienced" neon owners joining lately.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
