Few Questions that Need Answers please.....

Post by Izero » Tue Aug 18, 2009 3:08 pm

1) I just bought a 19mm sway bar, my car already has F & R sways... now will putting that new sway bar on the rear make my car over steer or anything too much?

2) Where can I find end links for this bar, as it is a side mounted sway bar instead of a top mounted one?

3) Where can I find Aftermarket LCA bushings? I kinda need some pretty bad......

1) is it a front or rear? as for oversteer, probably not.

2) the bar should have come with its own end links if they are different from stock.

3) Modern Performance: Prothane LCA bushings for I think $45.00. Easy to install.

1) read the first post...

2) i bought the bar from someone on here...without endlinks (solved that problem already anyways....)

3) the LCA bushins from MPx are for the FRONT lower control arms and they do not carry the LCA for the rear they said when I called them.....

well, that's because neons aren't designed with a LCA in the rear. lol. they have a rear control arms used for adjusting camber/caster and rear trailing arms. not sure which ones you're talking about. but energy suspension does make bushings for the trailing arms (tension struts).

Having a larger rear bar will aid in rotating the car around corners, but don't expect to be able to drift your FWD car with a sway bar upgrade. As for the rear bushings, I suggest upgrading your tension struts to the Mopar units (Modern Performance) and maybe look into an entire bushing kit instead of focusing on just the rear ones. Upgraded LCA bushings (for the front) have been said to be one of the best handling mods available, and they're cheap.
