HELP!:(

Post by strykr » Tue Aug 18, 2009 9:15 pm

Alright so I removed the side mouldings from my car.. and when i was doing it.. the last piece i removed pulled off clearcoat.. and i think a bit of paint with it, because there was some silver on the part that came off..

and then on top of that.. my car has the bubbles that built up under the mouldings that alot of ppl seem to have the problem with..

now my question is.. how do i get rid of those bubbles? is it rust?? and how much do u guys figure it would cost to fix the bubbles and get the area that got pealed off fixed????

I really cant believe that piece came off with my last moulding!!! :cussing:

I Dont think it's rust under it.
If you want to do a quick fix sand it down with 2000 sand paper (with water)

and go from there.

1000grid for your headlights is a bit much IMO.

I say go with 1000 on the door needs to be repainted anyways.

Post up some pictures?

And yeah, you can either put your side moldings back on your doors, or you have to eventually repaint them.

Depends if you know someone that can paint properly.

If you only have to pay for hardware and beer, it won't be that much expensive.
