From my project log
hansken_yo wrote:refect had posted two links in the Solution to the Sentry Key system thread. I used the reflash method and it worked.
refect wrote: there is also a few ways to reflash the stage one using the DRB III and the method of doing them allow you to reflash the VIN and skim code. there is a posibility that they will work for a regular stock stage 0 ecu too. have not heard, but i dont see why not....

heres the link on how to do it below....

If your car came with the skim then you just need to have the SRT pcm flashed with the vin that's in the skim.

AFAIK, you have to add the SKIM system to your car since the PCM will be looking for it. I do not know if you need to swap the dash harness since you didn't have the skim. But once you get the SKIM you will have to have the PCM flashed to the VIN in the SKIM.

Yes, that's what I was saying, I don't know if your dash harness has the SKIM connectors or not.

And to be sure you are on the same page, once SKIM is activated on a PCM, it cannot be de-activated. The rest of the system must be installed for it to start the car.

Unless you buy a new PCM, that hasn't been activated, it will have SKIM. All PCM's made after '02 have SKIM. The cost of a new PCM far out weighs getting the other stuff to make it happen.
