Nothing exciting (few new pics)

Post by 2005.Neon.SXT » Sat Aug 29, 2009 5:26 pm

Washed the car and I was going to make some HDR pics. I thought I had some pretty close shots as far as getting the 3 pics. Well, the program I use made the exhaust tip and license plate look like I was shaking the camera. Suppose next time I'll bring the tripod instead of guessing lol. I would take pics of the front, but I just don't want to disgust everyone with the unpainted bumper... I love how the front looks, don't get me wrong, just minus the unpainted bumper lol.

Here you go.

*edit* - that smiley is suppose to be a word. I didn't even use the ": :" or whatever! Suppose to be the word "dis gust", without the space of course..... but it's making it into a smiley, lawl...

rofl ya I re-read it before I published the thread, confused myself, and was like "eh... I'm sure someone will know what I'm talking about" haha. Thanks. And, I'm not going to lie, but I attempted to take out the 3rd brake light in the past and failed... no joke  I'm sure I was doing the right thing, but I was just worried that I, perhaps, wasn't and didn't want to break anything.

The tabs snap easy....push from the lens once you loosen it, equal pressure on each side and it should work for you.

Awesome. Thanks hun, I'll do that as soon as I can. Guess I just needed reassurance that I wouldn't break anything.

Un-painted front bumper FTW! I don't know why you'd think we'd be disgusted. Most of us here have had cars that were two colors, at one point or another. I think it adds character. :-D

Nice pics BTW!

If you do break them you can always use washers to keep the housing in.

Ya, I hate this "hurricane season" bs. One thing I will not miss when I get out and leave this forsaken place.

And what you sayin that it's raining cause you waxed your car today?? Why couldn't you wait till tomorrow!

*edit*

Picture!

I found this going through my old Facebook album. I doubt anyone knows of this car or if it even looks like this anymore, but the picture was taken in Rapid City, SD (October 2006). This was when I owned a black 4 door '95 Neon Highline (5 Speed). Saw this R/T and had to take a picture. Also found out that a chick drove it at the time  lol.

Pics of my car will come tomorrow ^_^

Alright, added a poll. Just curious to see what you guys think. Only reason I have the '00-'01 fogs on my bumper are so that the mounts for the fogs aren't showing and makin the bumper more of an eye-sore than it already is lol. And they came with the projectors when I bought them (didn't know that '00-'02 had two different styles of fogs... fail...). So ya. Vote up! And thanks for the comments.

haha, yes. Yes I do. When I bought my projectors from a member here, he was selling his fogs as well. He had the other style bumper and I didn't know that '00-'02 had two different styles. So until I get the right set, I'm just keeping the fogs on there lol. Disgusting, I know

Your Neon does look good. I think I may have to eBay my fog lights since I don't see any being sold here. I also want to get a set of stock folding side mirrors, but will probably have to eBay those as well. Or just save for paint lol.

I don't think the fogs look all that bad honestly. I would tint them. And clearcoat your tails....

Keep your current fogs. They look pretty good on there. I don't see what's so bad about them.

Do you want me to get you pics of my shaved fog light mounts?

They're not meant for the '02 bumper. I'll get closer pics, but the way the fogs sit.. they aren't flush at all. Kinda rubbin against the inside area (and if I remember correctly, one of the bolts on the backside I couldn't screw in cause the bolt wouldn't push back far enough into the mount). It also seems like the foglights are pointed downward a lot.

I'll see what I can do as far as tinting them and I have the wiring for it, just haven't hooked them up because I have to tap into my parking lights (thinkin about hooking them up to a switch because I already have my angel eyes and sidemarkers tapped into my parking lights). Will be busy again shortly with more training ops (Virginia for 3 weeks next week... fail.). Can't wait till this Marine Corps thing is over with

Oh, I see...If they aren't sitting flush, you should replace / shave them. I thought you was worried about how it looked. lol

Nah, if they sat flush I'd be ok. But ya.. they don't sit back all the way and that's why it seems like it's pointing downwards a lot. Just tryin to see everyone's opinion if I should get the correct fogs or don't get fogs and shave the mounts off the bumper.
