Polishing/Clear Coat Compund?

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

Polishing/Clear Coat Compund?

So I decided to wetsand the ghost lines where my door moldings were and I only did a little spot, but now obviously the paint/clear is dull. My friend Mike tells me there is some sort of compund/rub that will bring the shine back to the clear. Any idea what the hell he is talking about so I can do the whole thing? Thanks
