Lowered on coilovers finally!

Post by gsxr7racer » Tue Sep 08, 2009 11:04 pm

I have had my car (2000 Neon) lowered on lowering springs for the whole time I have had it (almost 7 years now) and I finally got some coilovers. It's kind of ugly but I am just showing the stance, I have know idea how much lower than stock it is so don't ask!

Like all them ^...which? lol

I'd lower the front a smidge. Looks too high compared to the back.

Other than that, looks good!

the front fenders will always look higher than the rears since the fronts fender arch is higher up.

but i like the stance...i say go lower and get smaller series tires

the front would be better with a OEM grill and fogs.

Sorry guys, forgot to mention that didn't I. They are KSports, the control pros or something like that. I was wanting to go with a CF hood eventually so I don't think I will be fixing the hood, besides winters coming! I want to go with 17's at some point I think that should fill the wheel wells a little more. Once I get the busted ass driving lights out of the grill I will put in a mesh grill that I made a while back, I don't have the OEM piece and don't want to get one.

Thanks for the comments though, appreciate the input.

Take the door moldings off, it would make the sides look clean (IMO)

Looks good man!!

Forgot to add that as well, you are 10000% right on that!! I bought them used off the board and couldn't be happier with them. Of course coming from almost blown up Tokico blues and broken Eibach Pro kits (well only one broken) anything would have been an improvement!!

I love the stance! If only I can afford coilovers :banghead:

Nice list of future plans you got there! Add a lip kit on there too.

Thanks for the compliments all, I am really enjoying driving my car again. The wife likes it too because I have stopped driving the Caliber SRT, that's how well it handles now!

Thanks, I think if I do anything I will raise the rear like a 1/4" or less, I don't want to go any lower considering winter is coming. Yeah I will definitely be ripping those lights off, might do that tomorrow...

Well there you go, another strut blown up incident. I will never go with lowering springs on a Neon again, it's just not worth it. I don't think all cars are like Neons, but I coilovers just make more sense to me regardless the vehicle.

OK, have been working on that ugly ass hood and got 'er fixed up a little. It's good from far and far from good right now, I need to wet sand it with some 1200 grit and polish it and wax it. But it does look a lot better than the original pics in this thread. Anyways here it is now:

Will get a couple more next week when it's polished up and the light is a little better!

I'm much more happy with the way the front end looks now. If only you removed your side-moldings...
