Has anybody done a complete topic about the history of the neon acr 01-02? I would really like to know more about those cars like colors, special options, wheels, production numbers, seats etc...
I've hit the search button a couple of times but couldn't find anything.
Thanks, Tommy

ACR's didn't have a rear spoiler, correct? Both the Neon R/T and ACR were powered by the Magnum engine and had a trunk lid-mounted spoiler.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Take a 2001 - 2002 R/T.
Subtract the Sideskirts, spoiler, and fog lights (no deletes either). Open the hood and rip out the A/C (optional). Replace hvac bezel with no A/C one if A/C is gone. Replace struts with adjustable ones. Remove R/T badging and and ACR badging.
I think that is all that is different.

ACR's didn't have side molding or wings. I may be wrong on this, but...when I was doing the tranny/clutch on my '01 ACR, I noticed that my son's '03 R/T didn't have the extra brace that goes from the trans to the block. Also, it looks like it NEVER had it, so I don't think it had one originally. Maybe that's another difference as well (between R/Ts and ACRs), or, maybe that brace was eliminated beginning in '03...?ZeroChad wrote:Take a 2001 - 2002 R/T.
