do i need a new steering knuckle?
so i had trouble mounting my driver side brake caliper, i managed to get the top guide pin on with no problem but when it came to the lower guide pin I found it to continuously spin freely without locking on to the knuckle so my problem turned out to be that the knuckle hole for the guide pin must be stripped. Should i replace the part or is there a possible way to fix this so the guide pin will screw in tightly?

buy a tap and rethread the hole, not sure what size tap you need maybe somebody else can chime in. also check to make sure the threads arent messed up on the bolt as well, if they are just go get a new one of those as well. no need to buy the whole knuckle

^I agree, try retapping the threads and/or replacing the bolt before buying a new knuckle assembly.

^Yeah I was gonna say, it's not very much at all. Those are like 5/16 bolts IIRC.

If threading it doesn't hold, you may need to get a heli coil thread repair. IIRC, I seen them at AutoZone. Any other parts store should carry them. It is prolly metric also, so 5/16 would be 8mm, but what pitch?
Just for the sake of putting it out there:
IDK if it was actually going into the hole, but sometimes they can be close, but just not start. If you know for sure it was in the hole, then nevermind.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
