I'm not a fan of hood pins on stock cars. Look pretty silly. Some street cars can pull it off and look good, but not many

I like people who BUY a 10 sec car and then brag about it. Thats like hiring someone to bang your wife and then bragging about the kid

Looks like a primered front bumper back there.
I love my hoodpins. They're there for both looks and for peace of mind in case the striker fails. It's not all that common of an occurence but it does happen three of my friends were victims. Hood pins are a love it...or hate it item. There is really no in between. Right now I'm running mine without cables because I need to fix the broken radiator support bolt that I use for them. But I normally run the cables (another thing most people hate). Then again if we all modded our cars for other people's tastes they'd never be our own.

I like the way they look on your car crystal but some cars just cant pull it off, i would suggest do a photochop first, just to get an idea of how it will look

I usually subscribe to the idea that if it's doesn't make the car faster, more powerful, more efficient, or handle better, I don't spend money on it.
$35 will get you:
1-2 tanks of gas,
couple cases of good beer,
4-6 cases of mediocre beer,
lunch at a decent restaurant for you and the wife/gf,
a couple of DIY oil changes,
a K&N drop in filter,
etc
I think you get the idea

I'm confused why people don't think this makes sense....
Carbon fiber is lighter weight...
After bolting up my carbon fiber hood it was about an inch from being flush with my front bumper. I drove around with the hood like that for about a week and noticed the hood flapping in the wind on the highway (while driving). It didn’t make me feel too comfortable. I decided to move the hood latch a little lower and that pretty much fixed my problem. (I could use a set of hood pins, but I don’t want to drill into my CF hood.) Hood pins are a must when it comes to fiberglass or carbon fiber.
There’s a how-to floating around somewhere about drilling for hood pins, and integrating them with the hood screws or something…

We had 5 hood pins on our race car, because it was the only method of holding the hood down.
It was kind of cool seeing the air filter because the back end of the hood would lift up once you go up around 125mph and there wasn't a pin on the hood scoop.
