One of my friends neons after an accident

Post by RADARsx 2.0 » Wed Sep 23, 2009 3:35 pm

This is a friend of mine that had a bad accident about a year ago. She fell asleep at the wheel one night and rolled down into an sand quarry.
She broke her neck in three places, crushed the back of her skull, and fractured her spine.

This is her after being in the hospital for 3 months and spent a year in that C-spine. But is doing much much better now.

Wow, what a trooper. I can't believe she made it out of that. Is there any chance of a full recovery?

Wow that's terrible. She's so lucky she can walk. Will she fully recover? And by the date on that picture that means she had the neck collar removed recently?

Yeah she's fully recovered (as well as it's gonna be) and yes the collar came off a while back.

Does she have any limitations as to what she cannot do but used to be able to? Or did everything revert to near normal?

Think she can't do sky diving or bungy jumping..for the potential of stretching or compressing her spine again...but not exactly sure...I gotta ask her...that has me curious now too lol

Yeah, breaking your neck is a miracle.
It's the breaking it in more than one place along with your spine and still being able to breathe, on top of that walk, that's the miracle.

I have a four-page Canadian 1GN catalog showing the same color choices that we had here in the US. Very interesting.

Oh, glad that she's okay! :thumbup:

seems to me breaking your spine is not a time to be talking about miracles. I love the logic in religious references.

Miracle = really good luck/fortune.

Walking away from it in relatively good shape considering the injuries is good luck. Why are you dragging this on when you know exactly what I mean? Are you bored?
