I don't want the car slammed... I want a nice mild drop (see pic) and still be a very functional car.
Slammed like the 240 is pretty useless
Anyhow - here is one picture so far... I'm trying to save all the full size ones as well.

Not being slammed is fine, I just think that's still about an inch too high for my liking. Maybe a nice factory front lip painted to match would be enough to make up for it. haha

Couldn't have just a good deal on the car...
Compression Test Resulted in : 220/220/210/150
Explains why it is down on power....
Could be something cheap/simple... or it could be something expensive.
I'll take the valve cover off and inspect the valve spring retainers.
They are known to crack if the cars been over-reved. Which I have been told NUMEROUS times the guy before me beat the shit out of the car.
Wouldn't surprise me if that's it....
If it is that's a cheap fix.
We'll see though..
The car is still drivable but I'm driving the 240 for now.

That sucks! Hopefully it's an easy fix!

And now a picture of a good and bad one... left bad .... right is good.
Unless I'm really tired....mine seem to all look like the right one?

Both look the same in the last pict. Left one has less oil on it, is that the difference? Yeah all of yours look like the right one.

You see the left one is sunk in pretty good.
When I reassemble.. I'm going to tighten up the valve lash. (well to spec) I doubt its ever been done.
When I felt em by hand they felt real loose.... that might be a reason for low compression numbers maybe.
If I don't have any cracked retainers that's a good sign.... usually happens from a mechanical over-rev.. IE: slamming 2nd instead of 4th when wot... basically in the excess of 9500 rpms +..
So when I reassemble....re do valve lash...
re compression test
Hope for the best
ugh its almost 2am and i Have to goto work at 730...lol.
I just got in one of those moods to work on the car so I went outside and started to tear it apart.
I also stripped the valve cover and painted it black. It's not the best..but the red was flaking off like crazy.
I'll eventually have my dad powdercoat it.

Ahh I didn't notice that. It is sunk a tiny bit. Yeah dude, hope the number goes up on number 4 after you tighten up the valve lash.

Buddy said he saw white smoke when I got on it once... if I dothe valve lash and the numbers are the same.
I need to go for a drive during the day and see if he notices white smoke.
If so I'll probably just change the head gasket and retest. Even if it isn't a head gasket thats causing it.. I'm sure it cant hurt to put a new one on
