why do you want to do this christian. You can get flip out decks for just as cheap.
Yup it definately needs to go lower. If its not scrapeing constantly why you are driving then its not low enough bro.
Well I threw the one the Pioneer makes into my GFs focus. Had to do some cutting since the stock one is 1.8din. Its an absolutely awesome stereo though.

Double DIN isn't worth it IMO to go through all of that work you will need to do. There is absolutely no benefit to it. Double DIN stereos are basically the size of two Single DIN stereos (a regular one) stacked on top of each other. They come factory in newer Fords.

Are the flip up ones capaple of navigation? I like the double dins but the only thing I dnt like about them is the non detachable faceplate I actually like flip up screens there are easier to install

flip up is shit - once it is on you cannot use the hvac knobs.
double din needs some fiberglass work but is definitely worth that work!

flip up = amateur
double din = pro
extra screen, moving HVAC, moving radio = expert....

Well my Alpine is a single din and if I had the time I would go Double Din. It has a tilt button to momentarily bring down the screen so you can adjust the climate controls. It also is the only Alpine to be a 7" with a detachable faceplate. Check out me for sale thread. Again it all depends on the time you got and what you wanna do.
